  • 1 lb (500g) lean ground beef
  • 1 cup (250 ml) soft, fresh bread crumbs
  • 2 tblspns (30ml) milk
  • 2 tblspns ( 30ml) onion - minced
  • 1 tsp (5ml) salt
  • 1/2 tsp ( 2ml) pepper
  • 2/3 cup (150ml) heinz chili sauce
  • 2/3 cup (150ml) red currant jelly

  • 1 Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C)
  • 2 Gently blend, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, salt & pepper until combined
  • 3 Form into about 40 bite-sized meatballs
  • 4 Place meatballs on a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet
  • 5 Bake for about 20 mins, until cooked through
  • 6 Combine chili sauce & jelly in a saucepan & set over medium heat
  • 7 Cook, stirring, until the jelly dissolves, about 5 mins
  • 8 Add cooked meatballs to the sauce
  • 9 Reduce heat to medium/low & simmer for 10 mins
  • 10 Serve & watch them disappear.
