Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp powdered milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar cube (read **warning** carefully)
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Add the ingredients (EXCEPT for the sugar cubes and cinnamon) into your bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.
  2. In the meantime, in a clean and dry plastic bag combine the sugar cubes and ground cinnamon. Using the flat side of a mallet, crush the sugar cube mixture to a coarse powder. **WARNING**: You want the sugar cubes to be no larger than 1/16 in diameter or you could run the risk of jamming the bread machine mechanism if the chunks are too big.
  3. Add the crushed sugar mixture at the start of the fruit/nut beep cycle OR towards the end of the mixing cycle.
  4. Watch the bread machine {{closely}}. Once you pour in the crushed sugar cubes, be certain the sugar mixture incorporates well into the dough so you don't run the risk of jamming the beater.
  5. Baking time varies.
