  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/8 cup oil
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 cup water

  • 1 Heat oil in dutch oven.
  • 2 Mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  • 3 Dredge steaks in flour mixture.
  • 4 Brown in oil.
  • 5 Sprinkle dry onion soup over steaks.
  • 6 Spread sliced onions over top.
  • 7 Sprinkle remaining flour over onions.
  • 8 Pour water over and cover and simmer 45 minutes.
  • 9 Stir occasionally.
  • 10 Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
