Snow-White Flavoured Buttercream Icing

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 12 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approx . 3 lbs)
  • 1 1/4 cups solid shortening
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp wilton almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp wilton clear vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp wilton butter flavor extract

Directions:

  1. Combine water and Meringue Powder.
  2. Whip at high speed until peaks form.
  3. Add four cups sugar, one cup at a time, beating after eash addition at low speed.
  4. Alternately add shortening and remainder of sugar.
  5. Add salt and flavourings.
  6. Beat at low speed until smooth.
