Slice And  Bake Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Cut 4 14 x 12 pieces of waxed paper. Cream butter, sugar, and brown
  2. Sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs, until light and fluffy. Combine flour, oats,
  3. Salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir into egg mixture. Add chips and
  4. Nuts. Divide into 4 balls. Shape into an 8-10 inch roll. Wrap in waxed
  5. Paper or plastic wrap. Place in a freezer container with a light fitting
  6. Lid. Label and date. Use within 6 months. TO MAKE COOKIES: Preheat oven
  7. To 375. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Arrange on a baking sheet about 1 inches
