whole chicken (cut in pieces), chicken base (or 3 chicken bouillon cubes), water, oil, ancho chilies, pasilla chiles, mulato chilies, prunes (seedless ), raisins, anise, banana (actually you will need a platano but an unripened can work too, peeled and mashed), sesame seeds, unsalted peanuts, cinnamon stick, shortbread cookies (prefferably maria s brand galletas), black peppercorns, white onion, garlic clove, corn tortilla (fried ), piloncillo (can use brown sugar if you cannot find ), mexican chocolate (i use abuela brand)
