Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375* F.
  2. Halve and core pears; slice about 1/2 inch thick. toss with lemon juice.
  3. Combine pears and dried fruit in a 9 x 13- inch baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix butter and flour with a fork or your fingers until crumbly.
  5. Mix in rolled oats, brown sugar, nuts and spices.
  6. Sprinkle mixture evenly over fruit and press down lightly.
  7. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until pears are tender. (Check with the tip of a sharp knife or a pick.).
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, creme fraiche, or whipped cream, if desired.
