Directions:

  1. Combine butter, sugar, eggs, flour, buttermilk, and water in a medium mixing bowl; beat well. Stir in vanilla and lemon juice; mix well.
  2. Pour filling evenly into pastry shells. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pies before slicing.
