Lemon-apple Braid

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Make a mixture of the sugar, cinnamon and flour. Set aside.
  3. Peel apples; cut down the center and core.
  4. Thinly slice each half. Set aside.
  5. Open rolls.
  6. Lay flat, then use a dough roller to get rid of the seams.
  7. Place apples down the center of dough and sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon and flour mixture.
  8. Cut one (1) inch slits on each side of the cresent roll.
  9. Start the braid by picking up the top strip and lay in a downward angle.
  10. Do the same with the top strip on the other side.
  11. Repeat to the bottom.
  12. Pinch the bottom together and take off excess.
  13. Bake in oven for 18-25 minutes.
  14. Glaze:
  15. Drizzle over the top of braid when done.
