Laura Bush's Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 1/2 cups light cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix cocoa, sugar, and salt. Add milk. Heat to dissolve.
  2. Add light cream and vanilla. Heat to just under boiling.
  3. Mix very well and pour into mug. Garnish with whipped cream, cocoa powder and fine orange zest, if desired.
