Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 cup of corn meal
  • 3/4 to 7/8 cup of milk , depends on the humidity
  • 3 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 1 -12 oz. can of whole kernal corn, drained
  • 1 - 8 1/2 oz of cream style corn

Directions:

  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Combine egg, milk, corn and bacon.
  3. Add to dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until well moistened.
  5. Drop by teaspoonsful into hot oil (370)
  6. Fry until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle with honey and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
