Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegan sugar
  • 2/3 cup soymilk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Put the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Cut in the shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  4. Add the milk all at once and stir just until the dough forms a ball around the fork.
  5. Spoon onto pam-sprayed baking sheet.
  6. Cook 15-20 minutes.
  7. You can also make a slightly more tangy buttermilk biscut using about a table spoon of vinegar to the milk.
