Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Blend together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. In a large bowl cream margarine, gradually adding in sugar.
  4. Add eggs and combine well.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with mashed bananas, beating until combined after each addition.
  6. Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan.
  7. Let stand for 20 minutes.
  8. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
  9. *Forbanana nut bread add pecans to the dry ingredients.
