Another Texas Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sweet milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients.
  2. Form a well in the center of dry ingredients and add wet ingredients.
  3. Mix together until everything is just mixed.
  4. Do not over-mix, especially if you are using a mixer.
  5. Can be baked using a hot greased 10 cast iron skillet or a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
  7. Cooking times may vary.
