1. Pre-heat oven to 350 deg F.
2. Beat milk, butter, egg and vanilla essence until smooth.
3. Add biscuit mix and mix well.
4. Chill for an hour.
5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
6. Roll in sugar.
7. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
8. Flatten with a fork.
9. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until light brown.
10. Cool.
11. Cover tightly and store at room temperature.
