  • 1 Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 Grease 9 inch pie pan.
  • 3 In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash of cinnamon.
  • 4 Stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and eggs.
  • 5 Add apples and walnuts and mix well.
  • 6 Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until browned and firm to the touch.
  • 7 Hard Sauce:.
  • 8 In small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and beat at high speed of mixer (or Kitchen Aid).
  • 9 Shape into 2 inch thick roll and wrap in plastic wrap.
  • 10 Refrigerate until firm.
  • 11 To serve, cut hard sauce into slices and top each serving of dessert with one.
