Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. FILLING:.
  2. Saute beef, onion, salt and pepper until browned; drain grease.
  3. Add instant potato flakes, egg, ketchup, pickle relish, and mustard.
  4. BUN:.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Combine 1/4 cup potato flakes with melted butter; set aside.
  7. In large mixing bowl combine the other 1/4 cup potato flakes, flour, sugar, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
  8. Cut in 1/3 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  9. Add milk with lemon juice and mayonnaise.
  10. Blend to make soft dough.
  11. Divide in half; shape into balls; roll out one ball on floured surface into a 9 inch circle.
  12. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  13. Spread filling to 1/2 inch of edge.
  14. Sprinkle with cheese.
  15. Roll out remaining ball.
  16. Place on top of filling, sealing edges.
  17. Brush with milk.
  18. Sprinkle with the buttered potato flakes.
  19. Bake 25 minutes until golden brown.
