Yummy Whole Wheat Banana Muffins

These are an adaptation of a recipe I found and these turned out so yummy! It's a plus that they are healthy too-My kids & husband love them!
Ingredients:
4 large bananas, mashed
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1/3 cup applesauce
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
cinnamon
walnuts (optional)
chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
1. Mash bananas.
2. Add egg, applesauce & sugar.
3. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
4. Stir in dry ingredients.
5. Spoon into medium sized muffin pan (or use a mini muffin pan for little ones-my kids love when I do this).
6. Bake for 20mins 365 (I check them at 10mins for the mini muffins).
7. Yields 12 decent sized muffins or up to 40mini muffins depending on how big you make them.
