Yummy Cilantro Rice

This is yummy rice... great as a stand alone side dish or terrific as an addition to wraps or burritos. This is also great with brown rice (and much healthier).
Ingredients:
3 cups water
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup onion, minced (about 1/4-1/3 of a whole onion)
1 1/2 cups rice
Directions:
1. Blend 1 cup of the water with garlic, onions, cilantro, and green chiles in blender.
2. Add to rice, salt, pepper and remaining 2 cups water in small skillet type pan.
3. Bring to boil and simmer for 25-35 minutes.
