A classic meat ball recipe with a low-fat twist. Using yummy bison meat instead of beef gives these meat balls a low calorie count with a high calorie taste.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground bison meat
1/2 cup oatmeal ground up in blender
1 cup finely chopped onion
1-2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp marjoram
1 tsp oregano
1/4 cup egg beaters
2-3 splash worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350 and spary a cookie sheet with pam. Let pan heat in oven while you form meat balls.
2. Grind oat meal in blender to almost a powder.
3. Mix all above ingredients.
4. Make meat mixture into 16 golf ball sized balls.
5. Cook for 10 minutes then turn over for the last 6 minutes to brown on all sides.
6. Feel free to add a zingy BBQ sauce once out of the oven or any sauce you like..
