My Mother In Law gave me this recipe after my husband has raved for years how delicious they are. He's right...they are awesome!!!
Ingredients:
1 stick butter (room temp.)
2 eggs
2 cups flour
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2 ripe bananas (or 2 large jars banana baby food: trust me they don't know the difference ;)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
icing
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
4 tbs. butter (room temp.)
1 tsp. vanilla
milk (this never got measured, just pour until it's the consistency you like.)
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add sour cream, bananas and vanilla. Mix. In bowl mix the dry ingredients. Slowly add to the other mixture, (don't over beat) Grease a 9x13 or 11x15 pan and add mix. Bake 350 for 30 to 45 minutes (depending on pan size) until toothpick comes out clean.
2. Icing:
3. Mix vanilla and butter. Slowly add sugar, then add milk last. Frost bars when they have completely cooled!!! Now let your taste buds sing!! ;)
