These burgers were just something I whipped together one day and were inspired by my love for falafel and other Mediterranean food. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
2 finely chopped scallions
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 finely chopped garlic cloves
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix the all of the ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. If using very lean ground beef you may want to add the olive oil to moisten it a bit. Personally, I like the flavor the olive oil adds. 2. Form the mixture into patties about 6 oz. each. 3. Grill until thoroughly cooked (about 7 minutes per side on a 400 degree grill). 4. I like to spread a little butter on the buns and grill them for a minute or two to brown toast them. 5. Serve with your favorite burger toppings. Enjoy!
