Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Empty peas from package into colander.
  2. Run hot water over until just thawed.
  3. Rinse in cold water and drain very thoroughly.
  4. Without peeling apple, core and chop.
  5. Combine in bowl drained peas, bacon, chopped apple, celery, and onion.

  7. Dressing:
  8. Combine sour cream, horseradish, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  9. Add to salad and mix lightly.
  10. Dressing can be made ahead.
  11. Serve in bowl lined with crisp greens.
  12. (Boston or Bibb lettuce, torn) optional
