Will's Eggnog from Scratch (Alcoholic) |

Really festive and really potent delicious eggnog. Cook time = chilling time. Ingredients:
12 eggs, seperated |
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar |
1 quart rich milk |
1 cup cognac |
1 cup dark rum |
1 large orange |
1 lemon |
1 quart heavy cream |
grated nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick.
2. Stir in milk, cognac and rum.
3. Beat eggwhites stiff and fold into mixture.
4. Chill for a few hours.
5. Peel orange until pure orange rind left. Cut the rind into matchsticks 1 1/2 inches long.
6. Grate lemon rind.
7. Whip cream until just beginning to thicken and fold into mixture.
8. Fold in lemon rind and 1/2 orange rind.
9. Sprinkle remaining orange and nutmeg on top.
