2 egg whites |
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar |
1/2 c imperial sugar extra fine granulated sugar or dixie crystals extra fine granulated sugar |
1/3 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. vanilla |
6-oz package chocolate chips |
1 (3-1/4 oz) can flaked coconut |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Melt chocolate chips and add coconut.
3. Beat egg whites; while beating, gradually add cream of tartar and sugar.
4. When stiff, add salt and vanilla, then fold into melted chocolate chips and coconut.
5. Drop onto brown paper on a cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees.
6. Peel off paper when cool.
7. Can be decorated with candy corn or other Halloween candy.
