I got this recipe from the local newspaper a few years back and make them with chocolate chips!!!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter flavor crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup raisins or 1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups rice krispies
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Cover rasins with water and bring to a boil; allow to soften and drain.
2. Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs.
3. Stir in rest of ingredients, folding in cereal with a spoon.
4. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet; 350 deg.
5. for 12 min.
