You can buy inexpensive flax seed in the bulk or health section of your supermarket and grind it in a coffee grinder. Or you buy it already ground. Store ground flaxseed in your fridge. It is rich in omega-3 and is the binder in this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 3/4 cups water
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Using whisk, mix dry, then add wet and stir.
