I use this recipe to top-off or put between other Jello recipes. Perfect for making a patriotic mold.
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
2 (1/4 ounce) packages gelatin powder (knox)
1/2 cup cold water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pint sour cream (2 cups)
Directions:
1. Boil milk and add sugar to dissolve completely.
2. Dissolve the gelatin in the cold water.
3. Add together the milk mixture and the gelatin mixture.
4. Stir in the vanilla.
5. Beat in the sour cream.
6. Pour into serving bowl and refrigerate till firm.
