Another good pound cake, this one made with whipping cream. YUM
Ingredients:

3 cups sugar
8 oz butter; softened
7 medium eggs; at room temperature
3 cups cake flour; sifted twice
1 cup whipping cream
2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Butter and flour a 10 inch tube pan. Thoroughly cream
2. together
3. sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
4. well after
5. each edition.
6. It is essential that the eggs be a room temperature,
7. and that
8. each be thoroughly incorporated into the batter.. Use
9. a powerful
10. electric mixer, and beat a full two minutes after
11. adding each egg.
12. Mix in half the flour, then the whipping cream, then
13. the other
14. half of the flour. Add vanilla. When all ingredients
15. are combined,
16. beat five minutes more.
17. Pour batter into prepared pan. Set in COLD oven and
18. turn heat to
19. 350 degrees. Bake 60 to 70 minutes, until a sharp
20. knife inserted
21. in cake comes out clean. Cool in pan for five minutes.
