I put together a general checklist I hope will help people prepare for weather emergencies etc. It is best not to use candles or anything that can cause fires or use say a oven gas stove to heat your house ( carbon monoxide poisoning). Read more . Living rural, I have always tried to be on top of situations as best as possible. Please feel free to add your suggestions. We did not opt for a generator because they to can be dangerous if not used correctly although many of our neighbors do use them. However another neighbor's house burnt to the ground related to a faulty generator. My prayers go out to the NJ, NY and Ct people as well as in other coastal states who lost everything. Living inland our family was spared the devastation of those living closer to the ocean. Only a suggestion, anyone can donate to the to help financially if they wish.
