At the first sign of the sniffles, the Chinese order this beverage, one of several health drinks developed and served in local tea houses. From Cooking Club of America.
Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) can cola
4 slices fresh ginger
1 -2 tablespoon packed brown sugar
4 thin slices lemons
Directions:
1. Place cola, ginger and brown sugar in small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil gently 10 minutes. Pour into cup; add lemon slices. Serve immediately.
