  1. Preheat oven to 180C - gas 4
  2. Butter 2 baking sheets
  3. Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy
  4. Stir in the oats, flour, baking powder and nuts
  5. Drop desert spoonfuls onto a baking sheet
  6. Bake for 15 min until pale golden and cool on a wire wrack
