Waffle and Pecan Stuffing

My own creation was a huge success! the soon to be world famous waffle stuffing . great with fried chicken
Ingredients:
buttermilk, waffles- 10 toasted and cut into bite size pieces
2 tablespoons butter
1 yellow onion, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 granny smith apple, chopped
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon thyme
salt
black pepper
paprika
Directions:
1. saute onion, celery and apple in butter until softened. add herbs add seasoning to mixture. add chicken stock, brown sugar and maple syrup and reduce slightly. add waffles and toss until softened. add buttermilk and pecans and toss until completely coated followed by egg mixture to bind everything together. spoon stuffing into a casserole dish and cook at 350F for 45 minutes or until browned. let stand for 5 minutes and enjoy.
