Velvet Lunch Cupcakes

A nice rich cupcake! Great for potlucks, or picnics!
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg (not beaten)
3 tablespoons molasses
1 cup sour milk
1 cup seedless raisin
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and shortening.
2. Add egg, molasses. sour milk and raisins.
3. Sift together flour, soda, salt and spices.
4. Add to first mixture.
5. Bake in cupcake pan for 20 minutes at 350°F.
6. * To make sweet milk sour, mix 2 tablespoons vinegar into sweet milk.
