Velvet Butter Cake Layers

Ingredients:
1 box duncan hines butter recipe cake mix
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup granulated sugar
9 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3 ounces philadelphia cream cheese
1/3 cup half-and-half cream
1/3 cup water
4 eggs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven at 325 degrees.
2. Blend all ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, until combined.
3. Blend all ingredients on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl with spatula, to aerate mixture.
4. Pour batter into greased and floured 9 cake pans.
5. Bake 20- 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not overbake.
6. Cool completely on cake racks, and frost with your favorite icing.
