My daughter has recently become a vegetarian and she loves this simple sub.
Ingredients:
12 fresh loaf of french bread
wishbone bountiful tomato/romano/basil salad dressing
red onions
green peppers
yellow peppers
provolone cheese
pepper jack cheese
drained water chestnuts
salt & pepper to taste
italian seasoning
Directions:
1. Slice bread lengthwise to make 2 12 halves.
2. Spoon dressing on inside of both halves.
3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Add a thin layer of sliced red onions,then green peppers,water chestnuts,cheese,yellow peppers,and more cheese
5. Add more salt and pepper to taste.
6. Sprinkle with italian seasoning.
7. Cover with top bread.
8. Wrap in saran and chill until ready to eat..
9. Cut into 3 segments and serve.
10. YUM!!!
