Vegetables: Balsamic Braised Asparagus

A different take on asparagus; tangy and savory.
Ingredients:
1 pound asparagus spears
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 tsp ground ginger
4 grams mrs. dash table blend (or jane's crazy salt) (1/4 to 1/2 tsp)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Trim tough woody stems off ends of asparagus. You may cut spears in half, or leave whole.
3. Combine olive oil, vinegar, and ginger, stirring well. Pour over asparagus in a baking pan. Stir to coat spears. Sprinkle with Mrs. Dash or Crazy Salt.
4. Bake in oven about 15-20 minutes, until asparagus wilts and browns slightly. Recipe benefits from stirring it twice during cooking, but this is not necessary.
