Vegetable Beef Soup

Hearty soup that can be made into a stew - serve with buttered bread or rolls
Ingredients:
1-2 lbs chuck roast or stew beef
bag of favorite frozen veggies or mixture of favorite fresh veggies chopped
can of tomato sauce or small can of brown gravy
water
meat seasonings you prefer - i use season salt and black pepper
2 tsp cornstarch if turning into stew
Directions:
1. If using roast - cut into cubes (cut off excess fat)
2. Brown roast or stew beef with seasonings
3. drain if needed
4. add veggies
5. add can of tomato sauce or brown gravy
6. add water to just above the meat and veggies
7. cook at med high until boil
8. turn down to simmer
9. if turning into stew add cornstarch (mixing in well) 30 minutes prior to serving.
