Upside-down Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients:
1 cup miniature marshmallow
1 16oz pkg. frozen strawberries-thawed and sliced
1 3oz pkg. strawberry gelatin
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups cake flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 16oz tub whipped topping
additional sliced strawberries-optional
Directions:
1. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking
2. dish. Set aside.
3. In a medium mixing bowl,combine strawberries and gelatin. Set aside.
4. In a large mixing bowl,cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
5. Add eggs one at a time,beating well after each addition.
6. Beat in vanilla.
7. Combine flour,baking powder,and salt. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk.
8. Pour batter over marshmallows.
9. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.
10. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
11. Cool completely in pan.
12. Spread whipped topping over cake. Garnish with additional sliced strawberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
