This chili is great! A weekly staple for my family. We serve it over rice and then the next day we eat it over potatoes! Great by itself too :-)
Ingredients:
4 cups beans, kidney, all types, mature seeds, canned
2 cups tomatoes, red, ripe
1/2 lb beef, ground, 80% lean meat / 20% fat, crumbles
3 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp oregano, ground
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Brown Hamburger then drain
2. Add Tomatoes and kidney beans (I like 1 can dark, 2 cans light) Do not drain either.
3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, oregano and salt. Add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to taste if you like it spicy.
4. Bring to a boil and serve over rice, potatoes or by itself!
