Two Thumbs up Banana Fritters With Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Whisk water, egg and oil in a large bowl until well combined. Gradually whisk in yeast, flour and then milk until smooth. Cover and stand at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours or until mixture has doubled in size.
  2. Caramel Sauce;.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Stir over a low heat until butter melts. Bring to a boil, simmer uncovered for or 5 mins or until thickened. Set aside to cool slightly.
  4. Heat enough oil until hot in a deep fryer or large saucepan. Toss banana halves in batter to coat, add to hot oil in batches and cook, turning occasionally until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil, toss in cinnamon sugar and repeat steps with remaining bananas.
  6. Serve with ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce.
  7. Enjoy.
