Twisted German Chocolate Cake

This is another one of my holey cakes. I just love 'em!
Ingredients:
1 box german choc. cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz. jar) caramel ice cream topping
1/2 - 1 c. pecans
cool whip topping
Directions:
1. Mix and bake cake mix as directed.
2. When cake is done, poke holes in top with a wooden spoon.
3. Sprinkle nuts on top.
4. Mix milk and syrup together.
5. Pour over nuts.
6. Top with cool whip.
7. Refrigerate any leftover.
