Yaglama is a Turkish bread from my mom villages It is thin, round and unleavened flat bread made from especially wheat flour, water ,yeast and table salt. its like a 'yufka 'bread but this one is small and with village butter. Read more ..its close to mexican tortillas but they make with out yeast..
Ingredients:
1. 4 cups flour, sifted
2. 1 cup milk
3. 2 1/4 tsp (1 envelope, 7 gr) yeast
4. 1 tsp salt
5. 1/4 cup or less water
Directions:
1. After kneading, dough is rested for1 hour . Dough pieces (approximately 50 grams like lemon size..) are rounded and sheeted. Sheeted yaglama dough are baked on a heated iron plate (sac) or big, flat ,non stick ıron pot . Baking time is approximately 2-3 minutes. During baking, yaglama is turned over to bake other side. After baking, use immedetly cause when they warm it will be more delicious….put some butter on this breads and eat with almost everything breads have low moisture content and long shelf life depending on their moisture content.
