Topping burgers with goat cheese is an unexpected way to add great flavor without piling on a lot of extra fat and calories.
Ingredients:
3 pounds lean ground turkey
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
cooking spray
8 (1 1/2-ounce) hamburger buns
4 ounces goat cheese, cut into 8 slices
Directions:
1. Prepare grill to medium-high heat.
2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions, shaping each into 1/2-inch-thick patties. Place patties on grill rack coated with cooking spray; cook 5 minutes on each side or until done. Place buns, cut sides down, on grill rack; cook 1 minute or until lightly browned. Top each patty with 1 slice goat cheese. Serve on buns.
