Ingredients:
1/4 cup fat-free cream cheese
1 tablespoon shredded fresh basil
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
4 (3/4-ounce) slices reduced-calorie whole wheat bread, toasted
6 ounces cooked turkey breast, sliced
1/2 medium avocado, thinly sliced
1 medium tomato, sliced
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1/4 cup alfalfa sprouts
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well. Spread cheese mixture evenly on 2 bread slices. Top evenly with sliced turkey and remaining 4 ingredients. Top with remaining 2 bread slices.
2. Tip: Avocados are a great source of monounsaturated fat-a type of fat that appears to help prevent heart disease.
