Wasabi or Japanese horseradish has a very sharp and pungent flavor. We've used it here to add flavor to the mayonnaise. Wasabi powder or paste can be found in most large supermarkets or in Asian markets.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup fat-free mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fat-free half-and-half
1 tablespoon wasabi powder
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 (6-ounce) tuna fillets
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients. Stir with a whisk until smooth and creamy. Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle fillets on each side with 1 teaspoon salt. Place fillets in pan and cook 3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve with wasabi mayonnaise.
