This recipe was published in the Toronto Star newspaper about 20 years ago. A co-worker brought them to work and we all fell in love with them. I am posting this so that I never lose this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups rolled oats (i use quick cooking oats)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy in a large bowl.
2. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt, stir to combine.
4. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture stirring by hand until well blended.
5. Add chocolate chips, raisins and walnuts, stir to combine.
6. On a greased sheet, drop 1 1/2 - 2 apart. Flatten cookie with the bottom of a floured glass.
7. Bake at 300F for 15-18 minutes.
8. Cool one minute on baking sheet, then transfer to cooling rack.
