I found this on a piece of paper, in my handwriting, so it must have been good enough to take note of.
Ingredients:
2 chopped onions
salt
pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
28 ounces diced tomatoes
30 ounces tomato sauce
24 ounces tomato paste
10 1/2 ounces consomme
1 1/2 cups dry red wine
5 cups water
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon basil
1 tablespoon sugar
Directions:
1. Sauté the first three ingredients until the onions are soft. Then add the next ingredient, incorporate, then add the next ingredient. Repeat until there are no more ingredients. You are done, let it simmer until you need it. Makes a lot of sauce!
