Tomato Lentil Stew

This is especially yummy and easy to make. There will be lots of leftovers for lunch the next day. You can play around with the herbs. Use whatever you have.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups lentils
2 large onions
oil
1 (14 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
3 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons basil
black pepper, lots
salt
Directions:
1. Cook lentils in the water.
2. Meanwhile, chop the onions.
3. Sauté onions in a little oil.
4. Add the tomatoes when the onions are translucent.
5. Cook 5-10 min then add the lentils.
6. Cook 5 more minutes.
