Tomato Basil Soup

I am not a big fan of tomatoes by a long shot, but this soup is AMAZING, i could simply drink it on a briskly cold day, or even in the summer time
Ingredients:
4 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and diced
4 cups of tomato juice
14 fresh basil leaves
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
1/2 cups butter
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
1. 1. combine tomatoes and juice in a stockpot and simmer for 30 minutes
2. 2. puree the tomatoes and the juice with the basil leaves in a blender in batches
3. 3. return the mixture to the stockpot, add the cream and the butter and heat through. add the salt and pepper to taste
4. 4. serve hot
